Dental Fillings & Aesthetic Restorations

Dental fillings are recommended when you have tooth decay (cavities), minor fractures or chipped teeth, or enamel erosion caused by bruxism, over-brushing, or acid reflux. Early treatment with a filling prevents the need for more invasive procedures like root canals or extractions later.

We offer tooth-coloured composite (laser) fillings that are matched precisely to your natural tooth shade, porcelain fillings, Glass Ionomer Cement(GIC), Enamel erosions, interdental space, chipped tooth structure and diastema closure are done with appropriate aesthetic filling materials. All our filling materials are metal- free and biocompatible.

Yes. Modern composite and ceramic filling materials mimic the light reflection, texture, and translucency of real tooth enamel. The result is completely seamless and invisible against your natural teeth.

Aesthetic restorations are dental treatments that repair damaged teeth while completely mimicking the appearance of natural tooth structure. They include composite fillings, porcelain veneers, and full ceramic or zirconia crowns. These restorations restore the shape, colour, and strength of teeth affected by decay, fractures, or wear — with no dark metal margins at the gumline.

Smile Makeover, Veneers & Laminates

A smile makeover (also called smile rehabilitation or smile designing) is a comprehensive, customised programme that combines cosmetic and restorative procedures to improve the appearance and function of your entire smile. It can include dental veneers, teeth whitening, dental bonding, crowns, implants, bridges, clear aligners, and gum contouring — all planned around your unique facial structure and aesthetic goals.

Both laminates and veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made porcelain shells bonded to the front surfaces of teeth to correct chips, gaps, discolouration, and minor misalignment. Laminates are typically even thinner than traditional veneers. At Charli Dental, we use advanced feldspathic porcelain and lithium disilicate ceramics that perfectly mimic the light-reflecting qualities of natural enamel, with high stain resistance and long-term durability.

A smile makeover at Charli Dental can address stained or discolored teeth, chipped or broken teeth, gaps between teeth, uneven or misaligned teeth, a gummy smile, missing teeth, worn-down teeth, and an imbalanced bite. Using digital smile design software, we show you a virtual preview of your future smile before any treatment begins.

The duration depends on the complexity of your case and the number of procedures involved. After a comprehensive evaluation using digital X-rays and 3D facial scans, your dentist at Charli Dental will create a customised step-by-step treatment plan with a clear timeline.

Root Canal Treatment

No. At Charli Dental, root canal treatment is performed with modern techniques and effective local anesthesia, making the procedure no more uncomfortable than a standard cavity filling. We also offer sedation options for anxious patients to ensure a completely relaxed experience.

A root canal is necessary when the soft inner pulp of a tooth — which contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue — becomes infected or inflamed due to deep decay, a cracked tooth, or trauma. Without treatment, the infection can spread, form a painful abscess, damage the surrounding jawbone, or even enter the bloodstream and affect your systemic health.

Saving your natural tooth through root canal treatment preserves your natural bite sensation and chewing force, prevents neighbouring teeth from shifting into the gap, maintains jawbone density (which is lost when a tooth root is removed), and is far more cost-effective long-term than extraction followed by a dental implant or bridge. Charli Dental always aims to save your natural tooth wherever possible.

Crowns, Bridges & Teeth Replacement

A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fits over and covers your entire damaged tooth above the gumline. Crowns are recommended when a tooth lacks sufficient healthy structure for a standard filling, after root canal treatment, or to protect a severely fractured or decayed tooth. Charli Dental offers porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), DMLS, zirconia, and Emax crowns for natural-looking, durable results.

A dental bridge is a fixed prosthetic device used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of artificial teeth (pontics) suspended between two dental crowns anchored to the neighbouring natural teeth on either side of the gap. Bridges restore chewing function, prevent teeth from shifting, and preserve your facial structure.

The best option depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of surrounding teeth, and your bone density. Dental implants are the most permanent and health-preserving solution, while bridges are a strong fixed option that does not require surgery. Your Charli Dental specialist will assess your individual case and recommend the most suitable treatment during a comprehensive consultation.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are biocompatible titanium posts surgically placed into your jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Over time, the living bone naturally fuses to the implant surface (osseointegration), creating a stable, permanent anchor for a realistic-looking dental crown, bridge, or denture placed on top.

Unlike dentures that can slip, or bridges that require grinding down healthy neighbouring teeth, dental implants are fully self-supporting and permanently fixed. Crucially, implants are the only tooth replacement option that replicates the function of a natural tooth root — transmitting chewing forces into the jawbone to prevent bone loss, preserve facial structure, and protect surrounding healthy teeth.

Yes. With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a dental implant is designed to last a lifetime. While the crown on top may need replacement after 10–15 years depending on wear, the implant post itself integrates permanently with your jawbone.

Most healthy adults with sufficient jawbone density are candidates for dental implants. If you have experienced bone loss, bone grafting procedures can rebuild the necessary foundation. Your Charli Dental implantologist will assess your suitability using scans during your consultation.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth staining falls into two categories. Surface stains are caused by lifestyle habits such as consuming coffee, tea, dark sodas, and tobacco. Deep staining develops within the inner tooth structure due to natural ageing, past dental trauma, or exposure to certain medications during childhood.

Yes. Professional whitening at Charli Dental uses scientifically tested whitening agents that lift stains without damaging the enamel. The whitening gel is applied carefully by a trained professional and kept away from sensitive gum tissue, avoiding the enamel erosion, sensitivity, and chemical burns associated with many over-the-counter whitening products.

Results vary depending on the type and degree of staining. Surface stains respond very well to professional whitening, while deeper intrinsic stains may require a tailored treatment approach. During your consultation, your Charli Dental dentist will set realistic expectations and recommend the most effective whitening method for your specific needs.

Tooth Extractions & Wisdom Tooth Removal

An extraction is recommended when a tooth is too severely damaged to be saved by a root canal or crown. Common reasons include advanced tooth decay that has destroyed the tooth's structure, severe fractures extending below the gumline, progressive gum disease causing the tooth to become dangerously loose, or impacted teeth that are trapped beneath the bone or gum tissue.

A disimpaction is the surgical removal of an impacted tooth — most commonly wisdom teeth (third molars) that have failed to erupt properly and remain partially or fully trapped beneath the gum or bone. Impacted wisdom teeth create hard-to-clean gaps that trap bacteria, causing painful infections, decay, and damage to neighbouring healthy teeth. Early removal is widely recommended to prevent these complications.

At Charli Dental, all extractions and disimpactions are performed under effective local anaesthesia so you feel no pain during the procedure. Complex surgical disimpactions, particularly those involving deeply impacted teeth near facial nerves, may be performed by our maxillofacial surgical specialist for the safest outcome.

Invisible Aligners & Orthodontic Treatments

Invisible aligners are custom-made transparent medical grade thermoplastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth and apply gentle, continuous pressure to gradually shift them into their correct positions. Each set of trays is worn for one to two weeks before progressing to the next, with each tray moving specific teeth by a carefully calculated fraction of a millimetre.

Invisible aligners are virtually invisible, making them ideal for professional and social settings. They are fully removable for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, so there are no dietary restrictions and oral hygiene is simple. The smooth custom mould medical grade thermoplastic tray is significantly more comfortable than metal brackets and wires.

Charli Dental provides a full range of orthodontic options: fixed appliances (traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, and Self ligating braces for severe misalignments and complex bite corrections), removable appliances (invisible aligner trays and minor tooth movers), and myofunctional appliances (such as Twin Blocks and Herbst appliances) for growing children to guide jaw development and prevent the need for surgery in adulthood.

Myofunctional appliances are specialised orthodontic devices for growing children and teenagers that redirect natural muscle forces from the lips, tongue, and cheeks to guide jawbone growth. They can help an underdeveloped jaw grow forward or widen, correct bad oral habits like tongue thrusting and mouth breathing, and often prevent the need for complex jaw surgery or tooth extractions later in life.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Full mouth rehabilitation (also called full mouth reconstruction) is a comprehensive, highly customised treatment programme that rebuilds, restores, and repairs all teeth in both the upper and lower jaws simultaneously. It combines restorative and cosmetic dental procedures to optimise oral function, structural health, bite alignment, and aesthetics for patients with extensive dental deterioration.

Full mouth rehabilitation is recommended for patients experiencing severe tooth wear from bruxism (teeth grinding), multiple broken or severely decayed teeth, multiple missing teeth due to trauma or advanced gum disease, bite collapse with loss of facial vertical dimension, or chronic jaw pain and TMJ disorders.

The process at Charli Dental typically includes an urgent control phase (managing infections and immediate pain), a diagnostic and planning phase (using digital X-rays, 3D CBCT scans, and digital smile design), a provisional phase (temporary restorations to test your new bite), and a definitive phase (placement of final high-strength porcelain crowns, bridges, veneers, or implant-supported prosthetics). A multidisciplinary team collaborates to provide comprehensive care throughout the treatment procedure.

Maxillofacial Surgeries

Maxillofacial surgery is a highly advanced dental specialty that addresses structural issues involving the teeth, jaws, face, and neck. It bridges medicine and dentistry to correct skeletal abnormalities, repair facial trauma, remove jaw cysts and tumours, manage complex impacted teeth near major facial nerves, and treat severe obstructive sleep apnoea.

Orthognathic surgery is a procedure to reposition the upper jaw, lower jaw, or chin when they are structurally misaligned in a way that cannot be corrected with orthodontics alone. A severe jaw mismatch can cause chronic chewing difficulties, speech impediments, accelerated tooth wear, and intense jaw joint pain. Surgical realignment restores ideal chewing function, relieves joint strain, and enhances facial symmetry and profile.

Yes. When conservative treatments for obstructive sleep apnea (such as CPAP masks) fail, maxillofacial surgery can offer a permanent structural solution. Procedures to advance the jawbones forward widens the airway, permanently clearing the obstruction and allowing deep, restorative sleep.

Periodontal (Gum) Surgeries

Periodontal surgery is needed when advanced gum disease (periodontitis) has progressed beyond the reach of regular brushing, flossing, or standard cleanings. Deep bacterial infections below the gumline create periodontal pockets that allow bacteria to dissolve the jawbone supporting your teeth. Surgery eliminates this deep infection and permanently reduces the pocket depth so you can maintain the area effectively at home.

LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional gum surgery. Instead of using scalpels and sutures, a specialized dental laser selectively targets and destroys harmful bacteria and diseased tissue inside the gum pocket without cutting healthy gum tissue. The laser energy also stimulates the underlying bone and stem cells, allowing the body to naturally regenerate healthy gum attachment and new bone — with significantly less pain, bleeding, and recovery time compared to conventional surgery.

Yes. The deep infected pockets created by advanced periodontal disease act as open doorways, allowing aggressive oral bacteria to enter your bloodstream every time you chew or brush. Chronic gum inflammation is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, respiratory problems, and complications with diabetes management. Periodontal treatment at Charli Dental lowers the inflammatory burden on your entire immune system, protecting your systemic health.

Paediatric Dentistry

It is recommended that children visit the dentist by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth erupting. Early visits allow the paediatric dentist to monitor jaw growth, identify developmental issues early, and help your child build a positive, fear-free relationship with dental care.

Primary (baby) teeth are vital for proper chewing and nutrition, early speech development and pronunciation, and — critically — as natural space maintainers for the adult teeth developing underneath. If a baby tooth is lost prematurely to decay or trauma, neighbouring teeth drift into the gap, blocking the correct path of the permanent tooth and causing severe crowding that requires costly orthodontic treatment.

Charli Dental's paediatric team offers dental sealants (protective coatings applied to the deep grooves of back molars to prevent cavities), fluoride varnish treatments to strengthen enamel, custom-fitted sports mouthguards to protect against dental trauma, habit breaking appliances for thumb sucking and tongue thrusting, and ongoing monitoring of jaw growth and dental arch development.

Charli Dental's paediatric team uses child-friendly communication techniques including the 'Tell-Show-Do' method to build trust and eliminate fear. For children with significant dental anxiety or extensive treatment needs, we offer inhalation sedation (laughing gas), oral conscious sedation, and general anaesthesia administered by a licensed specialist — all in a safe, carefully monitored environment.

Habit Breaking Appliances

Habit breaking appliances are custom-made orthodontic devices designed to intercept and stop harmful oral habits in children, such as thumb sucking, finger sucking, and tongue thrusting. These habits, if left uncorrected past the age of four, apply continuous abnormal forces to the developing jawbone, causing structural deformities including open bites, narrowed arches, and severe misalignment.

The appliances work through simple structural design rather than discomfort. Palatal cribs and rakes create a physical barrier that blocks the thumb from forming a comfortable suction seal against the roof of the mouth. Tongue spikes or guards prevent the tongue from thrusting forward against the front teeth during swallowing, retraining the tongue to rest in its correct position. They can be either fixed or removable.

Intercepting a damaging oral habit between ages five and seven takes advantage of the child's natural growth spurts. When habits are broken early enough, the displaced teeth often self-correct naturally. Waiting until skeletal growth slows down hardens the jaw deformity into a permanent defect that requires years of complex orthodontic treatment, extractions, or maxillofacial surgery to correct.
